Happy Sushi Day.

Date: Friday, December 18, 2009

Last weekend, we had our dinner at one of the Japanese restaurant at Ipoh. The place was full house and we waited for almost 10 minutes before we got a table. The restaurant offered 20% discount on all dishes to celebrate the anniversary of their restaurant.

I love the lightning there, so comfortable.

There are variety of Japanese dishes available. We also waited for 10 minutes for the menu to come.

My old man waited impatiently for the food to be served.
Guess what, we waited for more than 30 minutes for the food to come.

*Stomach Growling*

My stomach was starving terribly... I drank so many cups of green tea to ease myself.
Based on this green tea photo, I can see my photographing skills has improved. (*Love it*)

One more plate of sushi, I put them into my mouth before I got a chance to take a picture of them. Again, I was STARVING badly.

At this moment, I miss my daddy a lot. He used to treat me Japanese dishes most of the time. I MISS MY DADDY. (*shout out loud*)

The picture of the day.
Au Foo Keen, would you stop acting cool?
I dislike this picture, but it's the only one I have because he dislike taking picture.
I post it because I scared I will get scolded by Wilson saying that, "sei ah Flo, I thought can see ur bf picture. BUT what I saw was food food food. Ur bf is food ah?"

....speechless....

And my AIM for this sem break is to earn RM1000 before the next semester start to fulfill my shopping wish lists.
I'm planning to work even on Chinese New Year holidays. I'm desperate for $$$. I already stopped working for 1 year. Looking forward to it.

See you all soon. Muacks.

The Twilight Saga, New moon.

Date: Monday, December 7, 2009

I got a feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good night
that tonight’s gonna be a good night
that tonight’s gonna be a good good night wooh hoo
-I got a feeling by black eyed peas-

Last saturday, I went outing with my fabulous good friends at our usual place, Jusco Kinta City, Ipoh.

-Zero, Josheen, Floflorr, Kiwi-

We went to our favourite restaurant, Cafe Takahashi.

Food of the day are....

Salad dumpling prawn.

Healthy vege salad.

Fattening cheesy seafood baked rice.

Curry seafood rice.

I can see your saliva dripping after seeing those mouth watering food.
See leng lui better. Haha.

The cam whores. I mean what's wrong about being in love with camera. Girls' nature.

Our main objective of outing that day was to watch a popular movie entitled New Moon. A romantic love story of three angles among human, vampire and werewolf.

After watching that movie, one thing that crossed my mind was, who would you choose if you were Bella? Werewolf(Jacob) or vampire(Edward)? I asked my two pretty friends, they were doubting and they didn't give me an exact answer.

We find both of them very attractive. They are both charming in their own way. But if I were her, I guess I would choose Jacob. I can't take my eyes out off his husky body. *hotcha* Actually the main reason I like him in this movie is not mainly because of his muscularity. It is because he is a very protective man who would do anything to make sure that his love one is safe and secure. That's the kind of man I want.

I am looking forward for the next chapter to be out.... Eclipse. *I'm a desperado* (grin)

We went browsing around after the movie.

I love this picture, make me looks like an angel. (Quiet, I know I'm not.)

Not one but three pretty angels. Haha, forgive me for being so vain.

Camwhoring at the Padini Concept Store Ipoh where many pairs of eyes eyeing on us. People were thinking why these two girls were so unshame. LOL. Doesn't matter. I'm nobody here.

After tiring of walking, we stopped at Secret Recipe for dinner. I ate nothing due to tummy pain.

*************************************************
I wanna apologize to my old man. Sorry dear for keeping you waiting. And you didn't even have your dinner. I know you were not angry, that's why it makes me feel even worse.
I promise NO next time. Love you Au Foo Keen.

Friday night BBQ party.

Date: Sunday, December 6, 2009

Last Friday, we organized a BBQ party inviting most of our classmates. That week was the last week of attending classes, we were about to come to the end of our YEAR 2 SEM 2.
We planned to start BBQ'ing at 6.00p.m. Unfortunately, it was raining heavily. So we started at 7.00p.m. In the end, we started at almost 8 p.m. Why? Look at the photos below and you will find the answer.

Phaik Yee and 2 others were preparing Ribena drinks at the kitchen.

Yeah, what you see was true. They were arguing at the kitchen about the right method to make Ribena drinks. LOL. I thought put ribena into the water, put ice, stir and it's ready to be served. Hmm, I wonder there's any secret recipe to be followed.

At the time being, let's see the what were the others doing.

My stomach was growling. It took the guys so long to light up the charcoal. I guess it was due to the damp weather. Anyway, thanks to three of them, Yong Chee, Wey Pin & Wei Kee for lighting up the charcoal.

Click here to see Mr Yong Chee with watermelons boobs.

OK, I wasn't the one doing nothing. I did contribute a lot for that day BBQ party. Besides being the photographer snapping thousands of photos that day, and doing the blogging job, I went to Tesco with 3 others friends to buy groceries and prepared for the food.

There were chicken wings, fishes, nuggets, sotong, prawn, crab meat, hot dogs, fish ball, chicken ham, potatoes, corn, banana.

Watermelons & Honey Dew.

First time BBQ'ing banana. And I didn't know that nuggets can be BBQ'ed. And it taste exactly like after it is being fried. Crunchy and less fattening.

Sotong. It was too cooked. Taste like eating rubber band. Yucks.

This is perfectly delicious.

Ikan Bakar.

After satisfying our stomach, here comes the group photos session.

Too small? Right click to enlarge.

GAMES TIME
We divided our big group into two for fun activities.

GAME 1

It was called the "body contact" game. Rules : Using our body part to hold the balloon and walk a few metres of distance. The group who completed in the fastest time will win and the losers will have to drink BITTER MELON SOUP. *eurk*

In the end, our group *GROUP 2* lost in the game and we were forced to drink Bitter melon soup.

GAMES 2

Individual games, the one with the smallest number of card will lose and do whatever directed by the winners.

He got the lowest card for 2 times out of 3 times. Don't go genting la, you no luck punya.

GAMES 3

Can you guess what's this?

Bread with pandan jam?

Bread with kaya?

Wrong wrong wrong. These "delicious-look jam" on top of the bread is WASABI.

Have you ever watch the Hong Kong entertainment show called the The Super Trio Game Show?
Yeah, the idea of this game is copied from that show. So called the "Spicy Sushi" (Lat Lat Sau Si) The only difference is we used bread instead of sushi to save cost. LOL. The lose one will have to eat the WASABI BREAD.

I was the only lucky one escaped from eating this "bread of hell." (phew)

We planned 6 games, but we only managed to play 3 games because it was too late. By the time I reached home, it was already 2 o'clock in the morning. What a tiring day. But I think it's worth gathering with fellow classmates.

我相信,雨过天晴,必有彩虹。

Date: Thursday, November 26, 2009

Last Tuesday was one of the most miserable day of my life.
I got back the results of one of my mid term subject, IT for Management. And it was unfortunately disastrous result. I got 39/100 which actually meant that I failed the paper. And I'm so "proudly" to say that I was the only failure of this paper in my class. My other classmates marks range between 40-70 with most of them got an average of 55.

My tutor said that there was only one person who failed the paper. I was praying hard that I wasn't the "lucky" one.

I studied for the subject.
I didn't do last minute study.
I even burn the midnight oil to make sure I remember all the facts.

Unfortunately, I was the one who fail.

And what actually goes wrong?

Firstly, we were supposed to start the paper at 8.00a.m. but we started at 8.30p.m. which means we were 30 minutes late for the paper. It was because of failure of the computer system. Or maybe other factors that I might not know. I only saw two UTAR technician was busying shutting down and reconnecting the main switch.

Even though at 9.30a.m. when the tutor wanna collect the answer scripts from us, he decided to give us more time, but I was truly distracted and couldn't concentrate well.

Secondly, we have to complete 30 objectives questions, a case study with extremely long passage of two whole pages, and an essay questions in just one and a half hour.
To make the things worse, the objectives questions are nothing like the lecture notes. It's not like you study the lecture note, you will be asked question based on it. Even my tutor said the objectives are tough and the most you can get is probably 17/30.

Thirdly, there were 3 objective questions with similar questions and similar options. That means once wrong, 3 questions are wrong. Once you get the correct answer, you get all 3 correct.

I know I can't use these excuses to forgive myself from getting a fail in midterm. So I didn't blame anyone but myself.

39/100. One more marks to get a pass. I consulted the tutor, and he was very generous enough to grant me 1 extra marks to pull me from hell. I could hear my voice was shaking when I talked to Mr Tutor. But I tried to hide it and hold my tears back from rolling out. I wasn't trying to get sympathy from Mr Tutor. I just couldn't help it.

I went to the wash room later and tears started streaming out like waterfall.
After 5 minutes of crying out loud. I felt much better. It only get me 5 minutes to recover from hysterical. I told myself, this was the last time I cried over my result. And it was pointless to cry.
I will score for my final.

When I walk out from the building, I look upon the sky and I saw two rainbows.
It was such a beautiful scenery. I quickly took out my hp and snapped some photos of it.
Actually the rainbow is very clear and obvious but my lousy hp failed to captured the beauty of it. And there was one more rainbow on the left side of the rainbow you see in the photos below. But it was unseen in the photo. (Please don't expect much from my 2.0 mega pixels hp. Hehe)

This was the first time I saw rainbows at UTAR campus.
What's more? This was also the first time I saw 2 rainbow at a time in my life.
雨过天青,必有彩虹。我相信!

2 days later, I got a news from my class representative, Chong Sian Ming saying that, ALL students have to retest for the IT for management midterm test. I was pleased to hear that.

This was the first time I failed my midterm test and got lowest in the class. And this was also the very first time of my life at UTAR that they want us to retest for the midterm test.

I heard the decision was made because some students made complain to the UTAR office due to several reasons.
Firstly, the paper was too tough.
Secondly, some students claimed that other classes got the tips before the test from other classes who sat for the test earlier.

During the test, I even spotted some fella went online checking answers and some discussing at the back. (Note: We did the test on the computer.)

Whatever reasons, it doesn't matter. The main thing is I was overjoyed to hear the news. Gonna study hard. No more failling, no more being the lowest in the class.

TNB= Tiu Nia Bu ???

Date: Wednesday, November 25, 2009

Namewee, Muar-born rapper/singer is once again became the nation's highlight after his previous "production" Negarakuku which created a lot of controversy a few years back.
I thought he has learnt his lessons since the creation of Negarakuku has caused him into a deep shit and it almost "drag him to hell".
If you are not aware of his recent news, let me tell you.

Namewee, was not happy with the break down of the electricity at his home. According to him, this was the 3rd time of the electricity breakdown since he return to Malaysia about a year ago.
He said he was half way composing a song with his computer when the breakdown happened and this caused him to lost all his data which he didn't saved.

He made calls to the TNB but no one picked up the call. In frustration, he rode a motorcycle to the TNB office and requested to see the "orang besar" but ended up in a heat of argument with the "orang kecil". In the end, he was being chased out by the security guard after he was being incriminate as "buat kacau". Before leaving, he was seen cursing and throwing out all kinds of vulgar words.

Here's the video if you haven't watched it. (Better watch it before it is being removed.)

Whether it's a break down or shut down, it is not an excuses. I'm sure we are all being understanding enough that breakdown is something uncontrollable. Once in awhile is acceptable, but when it happened few times in a year, merely an apologise word is definitely not enough to compensate the loss of the people involved. Electrical breakdown can definitely cause massive losses to production factories, and it may even affect the business of small venture. I'm not sure about the Muar since I haven't been there before in my entire life. I don't know whether there are big factories exist in Muar. But one thing I'm sure is that, it caused a lot of problems to the citizens of that affected area.

However, I totally disagree with what Namewee was doing. Cursing and using vulgar word outside the TNB and composing song to defame TNB wasn't a brilliant idea. It shown how uncivilised he was. I personally feel gross to hear barbaric words from people. Only barbarian use barbaric words.

Nevertheless, I don't hate him. He is daring enough to stand out and speak for his right and whatever he feels unfair. The only thing is that he used the wrong method. Now he gets himself into trouble again.

Next, the "orang kecil" in the video is... "speechless". (今时今日,这种服务态度是不行的.)
TNB should sponsor his studies and send him to higher education and make sure he learn about managing and how to deal with customers. In a well doing company, the most important element is customer service. It means giving good and right services to customers and satisfy all their needs, answer all their doubtness and react responsively. Not hiding when problem occurs and sitting there eating BANANA.

My question is, if Namewee did not create the video to attract the attention of the nation, is TNB going to look into the matter seriously and find way to improve their services?

I doubt about it.
